Frequently Asked Questions

HOW LONG SHOULD MY HAIR BE BEFORE MY WAX?

If it is your first time waxing, it’s preferred for clients to stop shaving, trimming, or use of nair 4 weeks before a wax appointment. If you have waxed before, it’s reccomended to scheulde your waxes 4 weeks apart so the hair is long enough to wax and can insure all hair growths get on the same cycle for the best waxing results.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY BRAZILIAN/BIKINI WAX?

-Take a warm shower at least 2 hours before your wax. This will help your pores open up & soften your skin.

-Wear loose clothing or bottoms

-Avoid caffeine/alcohol at least 2-3 hours before your appointment. This can cause the skin to be more sensitive.

-Hydrate with a lot of water. Waxing dehydrated skin can cause sensitivity or additional discomfort during your wax.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER MY WAX?

-Some things to avoid for at least 24- 48 hours is working out, anything that causes excessive sweating, going to a sauna, going to the pool/beach, tanning booth, or sun exposure to area. After a wax, all your pores are open and your skin is sensitive. Sweat can sit in your pores and can cause breakouts or skin irritation. Swimming needs to be avoided since there can be bacteria in the water that can get into your pores.

-As stated above, wear loose clothing for the rest of the day after your wax.

-After a bikini/brazilian wax, it’s best to wear cotton underwear for a few days after. Other materials like lace, silk, etc. can be scratchy on your freshly waxed skin.

WHAT IS A VAJACIAL?

A Vajacial is a facial for your bikini area. It focuses on the outer vagina and bikini line. It is meant to target ingrown hairs and dark spots for glowing, healthy skin. This service includes steam, extractions, hydrojelly mask, high frequency, and spot treatment. Recommended to book with your bikini wax for even better results.

CAN I GET A BRAZILIAN WAX WHILE ON MY MENSTRUAL CYCLE?

Of course! Just make sure you place in a new tampon or menstraul cup right before your wax. Keep in mind, you are more sensitive a few days before, during, and a few days after your cycle. Because of the sensitivity, you can experience more discomfort during your service.

CAN I GET A WAX IF I’M PREGNANT?
